The Catalan Observatory for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (OEIAC), through the University of Girona, is committed to respecting current legislation on protection and confidentiality in the processing of personal data, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
The processing of the personal data you provide is legitimised by the explicit consent of the interested party before starting the evaluation checklist of the PIO model. The personal data provided by means of the questionnaire will be used for the exclusive purpose of maintaining the administrative relationship derived from the management of the request for information, to send information by e-mail or for OEIAC activities in relation to the general proposal for the evaluation of data and artificial intelligence systems.
OEIAC is committed not to communicate the personal data supplied by the person concerned by any means and not to sell, rent or transfer the personal data of users of the PIO model evaluation questionnaires without the consent of the data subject. The data will be kept for the period necessary to carry out the evaluation of the PIO model.
Personal data will be treated with the degree of protection legally required under the RGPD, and the necessary security measures will be taken to prevent misuse, alteration, loss, treatment or unauthorised access and theft by third parties, which can be used for fraudulent purposes or different from those for which they have been requested from the user.
The browsing data collected by the OEIAC website [www .oeiac.cat] does not contain information that can be associated with specific users and is only used to obtain statistical information on the use of this website. The OEIAC does not use (cookies), or other similar means, to process personal data that allow specific individuals, users of the website, to be identified. The use of these means is reserved for the collection of technical information that facilitates accessibility and the safe and efficient exploration of this site by users, as well as information that makes it possible to measure the use that is made of it.
If you consider that we have not given you an adequate response, you can contact the University of Girona or you can file a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority or take legal action.
