Objectives of the PIO Model

To raise awareness among the different actors in the quadruple helix that use data and artificial intelligence systems about the importance of adopting fundamental ethical principles to minimise known and unknown risks and maximise opportunities.

To identify appropriate or inappropriate actions through a self-assessment model based on principles, indicators and observables for assessing, recommending and advancing the ethical use of data and artificial intelligence systems.
